Scotland has Unveiled a Bill That Would Ensure Staff are Safe in the NHS

A bill has been released and it is designed to try and protect those who work in the NHS. It has been published in Scotland and this is especially the case for those who work in nursing jobs or even those who work as a nursing agency. The staffing in Scotland bill will essentially make sure that those who work in Scotland are safe and it will also place a legal requirement on the NHS boards. This will make sure that the right number of staff are in place and that they are all properly trained as well. At the end of the day, it is a known fact that there is a clear link between sustainable staffing levels and high-quality care in general. Of course, it will require that the Scottish health boards and even the care providers have plenty of suitable staff in place and this will also mean that patients get a higher level of care as well.

If this legislation is to pass then it would also mean that Scotland would have to use the workload to try and plan out exactly what the staff are doing and what their current levels are. The bill, which was unveiled on Thursday has made a good promise to those who work in the industry and it follows a very similar move to what was made in Wales.

At the end of the day, they know that there is a correlation between high quality care and the right training and Shona Robison has come out to say this. The legislation will work in a high level of practice and it will also mean that the decisions that the staff make always take into account the needs of the service and even evidence as well. She has also stated that it will help to try and promote openness and transparency as well, so this is something that certainly needs to be taken into consideration.
