If you work with a nursing recruitment agency, a nurse agency or are seeking care jobs for carers then you will be interested to know that the fund has now been passed on to new caretakers. The endowment was raised to try and support the efforts in Crimea, and this is great to say the least. The Nightingale Fund was originally made to try and protect the pot of money which was first built up in the 1800s. It is used to try and support nursing professionals who need some help with the fees of their post-registration course. They have established a lot of interest over the years, and they have also been seeking more donations as time has gone on. They are very confident that they have a strong reputation and that they also have strong experience in the area. At the end of last month, it looks like the fund has been donated to a new owner. The NF has been absorbed into a different charity and they have said that although they do face a lot of challenges, they are entirely confident that everything is going smoothly.
Greta Westwood who is the chief of the FNF has come out to say that it was a true honour for the organisation to be given the money. They have also said that a yearly lecture would be set up so that the history of the two charities can be honoured going forward. The NF happened to be established in the year 1859 but the fund stood at £45,000 at that point. Since then, a lot of work has been done to try and make sure that everything is running smoothly and that the charity is given every chance of success for the future.
