If you are seeking care jobs or if you work with carers on a regular basis then one thing you may be interested in knowing is that nursing recruitment agency providers and those who work in a nurse agency have been asking to create a workforce plan. One thing to know about all of this is that a Labour government would actually take steps to modernise the NHS and they would also publish a plan that would cover social care. The shadow health secretary has come out to say that this could mean great things for the future. On the final day, the Labour Party have come out to say that they plan on transforming healthcare and that they want to win the next election so they can make the best outcome for the NHS. They have said that it’s not in Labour’s interest to abandon the principles of the NHS and that they do have plans to try and make it a funded service where possible. At the end of the day, what nursing staff need is to see a full reform. They need to have a bigger emphasis on prevention and they also want to give a higher standard of patient care. Only when these needs are met, can they begin taking steps to a bigger and brighter future. It’s been argued that the NHS needs to be faster when it comes to responding to people and that they are currently putting too much focus on hospital care.

If they stop thinking about helping those who need help with their late diagnosis then this will help them to get a bigger and better result out of the people who they are trying to help. They may even be able to prevent some issues, which would be ideal.

The Isle of Man nursing strikes have now been paused as a new deal if being offered. If you work with a nurse agency, then you will know what an impact this has had on carers as well as those who currently work in care jobs. If you work with a nursing recruitment agency, then you will know what a huge deal this is. Two days of strikes have been scheduled and the end result is to try and get a better pay deal. The offer will mean something a little different to voting members as a lot of it comes down to their pay and the banding circumstances that are present. At the end of the day, Manx Care have come out to tell the Nursing Times that they could not enhance the offer anymore as they have already given a 6% wage rise for that year. A spokesperson has come out to say that they are exhausted from having to find funding for their pay offers and that they are putting in a lot of work to try and make things suitable as they are. The offer was originally called an insult and the union members rejected it almost instantly. Strikes were held during September and July but at the end of the day, more walkouts were said to happen around October. Only time will tell what the future holds with this but right now it seems that more has to be done to make sure that nurses are given the help and support that they need. If you want to find out more about this then make sure that you follow the government updates and that you also make sure that you take note of the latest advancements regarding the matter.

If you work in a nurse agency or if you currently work with a nursing recruitment agency then you will know that right now, there is a dire situation regarding beds. Even those who work with carers and who are seeking care jobs know about it. The Deputy Director for nursing has come out to say that there are in fact some challenges that are being faced right now and that more has to be done to try and address them. Kate Pye who has spoken out at the conference has said that her team do have some priorities and that the state of healthcare has to be looked at in a much broader sense. At the end of the day, it doesn’t take much to tip the service over the edge. The event is being run by Roald Dahls Charity and they bring together children and young nurses who have positions that are being sponsored by the charity. Ms Pye has come out to say that right now, there is a strong increase in demand and that young people’s nursing services really are in need of more support. Children who have complex needs have doubled and there is also an increase in children who need disabled care too. Ms. Pye has also come out to say that the number of mental health admissions is on the rise. This is especially the case when you look at people who are aged between 17 and 19. This has a huge impact on the workforce as you have people who are self-referring and you also have an increase in child mortality which is not good to say the least. More has to be done here to make sure that people get the help they need.

A barrister has been appointed to try and look deeper into the allegations against the NMC. If you work with a nursing recruitment agency, or as carers seeking care jobs then one thing you need to know is that a lot of the allegations are serious. If you are with a nurse agency, then you should know that they are looking into how whistleblowers have been treated over the years. The NMC today have announced that they have appointed Omambala KC to carry out the investigations. They also want to try and give support to the nursing regulator over the coming months. Of course, at the end of the day, an external investigation has to be done so that people can find out more about what has happened while making sure that people’s concerns are responded to. A series of articles that have been published have said that the NMC is failing to handle things properly and that more has to be done here. They want to give more support to nurses who might have been accused of sexual abuse as well as racial discrimination.

At the end of the day, a diverse group of colleagues is being put together to help form part of the culture and they are also doing what they can to share their own experiences. Suggestions are being put together to try and suggest things with the regulator’s council. From there, it seems that an independent investigator is going to be appointed to carry out the rest of the investigation. At the end of the day, they have said that they are sorry about the culture and the regulatory decisions that they are having to make. They do understand that they need to have a rigorous and transparent response to the concerns that they have too.
