UK Nurses are Being Inducted for Nursing Thought Leaders
Nurses are Lobbying for Better Data on Staff who are Neurodivergent
If you work for a nurse agency or if you are part of a nursing recruitment agency, you will know how important it is to make sure that staff have the support they need at work. This doesn’t just apply to staff either, it also applies to those who work as carers or those who are seeking care jobs. Nurses are working to try and find out why there is a distinctive lack of information about people who are neurodiverse, and they are also trying to give them much better help for when they might need it. They won’t have to spend all of their energy trying to fit into a world that is neurotypical at the end of the day, and this is great. A lot of people have come out to say that staff now have limited options when it comes to declaring their disability and at the end of the day, it could be just whether they consider themselves to be disabled or not. One thing to know is that a lot of people don’t feel as though what they have is a disability. The disability option does, however, need to include more options that helps to support the neurodivergent community.
Identifying staff who do not have visible disabilities is so important. This could help to lead to more reasonable adjustments being put into place by employers. It is important to know that nurses need to avoid burnout and they also need to try and stop the exodus with what is happening within the NHS. Only then can people begin to gain a bigger picture on how to support those who might be neurodiverse. With more training, more people can be included, and this is so important.
A Think Tank has Demanded Clarity on how Students are Going to Meet their Targets
More detail is now needed on how the huge increase in student nursing numbers is going to be laid out. This is especially the case when you look at how the long-term workforce plan is going to be made possible. Healthcare think tanks such as the Health Foundation have published an analysis that helps to highlight the scale of the challenge. They are also going to help NHS providers in their quest to try and highlight the scale of challenges.
Healthcare students in England are now doing everything they can to increase the numbers of workers and they are also looking into the nursing and midwifery intakes. It is said that this has to increase from 40,400 per year to a total of 72,400 within the same period. The government have pledged a lot of support and they have also focused on the expansion of education as well. It has been noted that now there are more teaching placements too. Nihar Shembavnekar has come out to say that the NHS workforce plan is a major milestone and it is rightfully ambitious. He has praised the NHS for taking steps for wanting to help increase the staff who are going to be trained. If you work with a nurse agency or if you work in care jobs or with carers then this is great news to say the least. If you work in a nursing recruitment agency this is also great. Of course, only time will tell what the future holds but right now, it looks like a lot more has to be done to make sure that the right staffing numbers are met.
