SURGICAL WARD NURSE

Are you a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse looking for flexible agency work in Bristol, Gloucestershire? We are expanding our team to support surgical wards within high-quality private healthcare settings.

This is an excellent opportunity to deliver safe, patient-centred care while gaining valuable experience across a range of clinical environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, effective, evidence-based care to surgical patients
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care plans
• Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively, responding to any changes
• Administer medications in line with NMC guidelines and hospital policies
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Follow infection control and health & safety procedures
• Provide support and reassurance to patients and families

Requirements:

• Valid NMC registration
• Minimum 3 months UK nursing experience
• Experience in surgical or acute ward settings
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Up-to-date mandatory training (e.g. BLS, Manual Handling)
• Flexible and adaptable approach to shifts

Desirable:

• Private healthcare experience
• Knowledge of post-operative care and pain management
• Familiarity with electronic patient records
