A Troubled NHS Maternity Ward Has to Make Significant Improvements

Maternity care standards are now at a high. An NHS nurse agency hospital trust found themselves in the middle of an inquiry when they found out that a number of people had died under their care. If you look at a nurse recruitment agency providers, they will tell you that even though care jobs are on the rise, carers are not doing everything they can to give the support that they should be. Maternity care standards at a hospital trust have increased since. The hospital agency have said that they are going to keep on monitoring the trust and that they are going to carry out a lot of future inspections going forward. This is so they can make sure that they make all of the right improvements. They also want people to feel proud that they are going to receive the right standard of appropriate care.

The report, which was done by the CQC have found that there are a lot of persisting problems with medicine right now and this is especially the case with staffing and leadership. They have found that the greatest concerns that they have, have now been addressed. The investigation looks to be reviewing cases that date all the way back to the year 2012. The CQC have looked into maternity care at two different hospitals and they have found that the ratings need to be increased quite a lot. For the Nottingham City Hospital, they have found that the design and the environment have failed to meet safety standards and that they need to do a lot of work to reach the staffing levels that would allow them to operate safely. If they don’t then this could have major consequences for the future, so make sure that you keep that in mind.
