Nursdoc are actively recruiting experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated team working across Nursing and Care Homes in Aylesbury and surrounding areas.
We’re partnering with a valued client committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. This role is ideal for HCAs who are passionate about making a real difference in a care home environment where independence, life skills, and meaningful social interactions are central to daily support.
About the role:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their day-to-day needs while fostering a warm, safe, and respectful environment. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to ensure residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing is always prioritised.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility in a respectful and dignified manner
- Provide safe moving and handling support and administer emergency basic life support where necessary
- Promote companionship through friendly engagement, meaningful activities, and emotional support
- Monitor, record, and report any changes in residents’ health to the wider care team
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months' professional experience in a UK healthcare setting
- Current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Nursdoc
- Reliable, adaptable, and responsive to changing care needs
- Genuine passion for providing high-quality care and working collaboratively with others
