SENIOR HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT

Are you a caring and committed Senior Healthcare Assistant looking for flexible, meaningful work in a nursing home in Woodbridge, Suffolk? We are expanding our team to support adults within a specialist neurological setting, delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a safe and supportive environment.

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting residents with complex neurological needs. The service focuses on both rehabilitation and long-term care, helping individuals build independence, confidence and quality of life wherever possible. You will play a key role in ensuring residents feel safe, respected and valued every day.

What we’re looking for:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)
• At least 6 months’ experience in a UK care or support setting
• A flexible and reliable approach, with confidence adapting to individual needs
• A genuine passion for supporting adults with complex needs
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Nursdoc

Key responsibilities:

• Support residents with daily living activities while promoting independence
• Assist with mobility and rehabilitation-focused routines safely
• Provide personal care with dignity, compassion and respect
• Encourage social engagement, choice and meaningful activity
• Monitor, record and report changes in wellbeing accurately
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and healthcare professionals
