As a Complex Care Nurse, you will provide specialist clinical care within clients' homes, supporting individuals with spinal injuries, tracheostomies, and other complex health conditions to live as independently and comfortably as possible. You will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • A minimum of 3 months’ UK nursing experience within a complex care environment.
  • Experience supporting individuals with spinal injuries, tracheostomies, and other complex healthcare needs.
  • Up-to-date tracheostomy training and proven experience providing care for individuals with a tracheostomy.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in autonomic dysreflexia management, bowel and bladder care, catheter management, respiratory support, tracheostomy care, and medication administration.
  • The ability to recognise and respond appropriately to changes in a client's respiratory condition and tracheostomy-related emergencies.
  • A compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach to care.
  • A DBS registered on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one through Nursdoc.
  • The right to work in the UK and the ability to travel within the local area.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist nursing care to clients in their own homes.
  • Delivering safe and effective tracheostomy care, including routine monitoring, maintenance, and emergency management.
  • Managing autonomic dysreflexia (AD) and responding appropriately to clinical concerns.
  • Delivering respiratory support and monitoring respiratory health.
  • Supporting bowel and bladder management, including digital stimulation where required.
  • Providing urethral and suprapubic catheter care.
  • Administering medications, including nebulised treatments.
  • Carrying out baseline observations and ongoing clinical monitoring.
  • Supporting mobility, spinal care, and promoting client independence.
  • Working collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.

Benefits:

  • Highly competitive pay rates of £38–£46 per hour PAYE, plus holiday pay.
  • Flexible shifts to suit your availability.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Ongoing training, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Referral bonus scheme for recommending fellow healthcare professionals.

If you are passionate about delivering exceptional clinical care and have the skills and experience to support individuals with complex needs, including tracheostomy care, we would love to hear from you.
