Reports have been released and they show that the Alderney ambulance service is not sustainable and that serious changes have to be made. There are going to be discussions held next week to try and make sure that people are able to highlight issues. It is said that Guernsey healthcare jobs are high right now as there is not enough staff. On top of this, a lot of staff are operating on a level of shared loyalty. They are doing their bit to help those around them and they are also trying to make sure that they do not leave anyone without the support they need. It is said that more and more people need to try and respect the service by giving it the funding it needs. If you are seeking Guernsey healthcare jobs then you will know that the system is strained right now. The staff have agreed to all of the recommendations that have been made in the report and they also want to find ways to try and fund the required projects in the future.
Of course, paramedics and other volunteers have provided a brilliant service so far and this is very noteworthy when you look at the additional strain that is being placed on the island as a result of the pandemic. We do know that additional support has to be given in order for people to be able to receive the care that they need. If funding is not given then the service will not be as resilient as it could be and this could mean major issues for the future. A small team from the AACE have stated that they have gone to the island to figure out how the service has been operating and what they saw justified a lot of changes that need to be made.
