Description

Nursdoc is currently recruiting experienced Senior Carers / Team Leaders to join our trusted care home partner in Swaffham, Norfolk. We are seeking committed professionals who can confidently lead shifts, administer medication safely, and actively support the daily care needs of residents.

This is a great opportunity for those with a strong background in care and leadership who are looking for flexible work in a supportive and resident-focused environment.

Shifts:
Flexible – days, nights, or weekends to suit your availability

Pay:
£15.00–£18.00 per hour + holiday pay

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate care teams during your shift, ensuring high standards of practice
  • Administer medication safely in line with care plans and relevant guidelines
  • Deliver hands-on care with dignity, including personal care, mobility assistance, and daily living support
  • Promote a positive, inclusive environment through meaningful engagement and companionship
  • Support junior staff with guidance, mentoring, and delegation of tasks
  • Record and report on residents’ health, wellbeing, and any changes to the care team
  • Liaise professionally with nurses, families, and care managers to ensure continuity of care

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in a Senior Carer or Team Leader role in a care home setting
  • Proven experience in medication administration and shift leadership (essential)
  • Valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through Nursdoc
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Compassionate, dependable, and committed to delivering person-centred care
  • Car driver preferred due to the care home location
