CARE SUPPORT WORKER (WITH PMVA)

Nursdoc is expanding our team and we are currently recruiting PMVA-trained Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, complex needs, and behaviours that may challenge.

This role involves working as part of a 2:1 care team, offering both emotional and practical support in a safe, therapeutic environment where dignity, respect, and wellbeing are always prioritised.

To be considered, you must have:

• A PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) certification
• Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health challenges and/or complex needs
• A calm, professional approach when responding to challenging behaviours
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A dependable, flexible, and caring attitude
• A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Nursdoc

Key responsibilities:

• Work as part of a 2:1 support team, ensuring safe and consistent care
• Support service users with emotional reassurance and practical day-to-day needs
• Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and grooming, maintaining dignity at all times
• Use PMVA skills to support de-escalation, safe intervention, and risk reduction when needed
• Encourage positive routines, independence, and meaningful engagement
• Observe, record, and report changes in wellbeing, behaviour, and daily needs
• Communicate clearly and professionally with nurses, carers, and the wider team
