Liberal Democrat Manifesto To Fund Health Services

The Liberal Democrats have revealed their election manifesto today and this includes a pledge that is going to reverse all of the cuts that have been done to the public healthcare system. This also includes incentives for the community and even the clinicians if they work in areas that are said to be deprived. Central to this policy, there is the five point recovery plan. This includes a 1p rise on any income tax and it is also going to raise £6 billion for the NHS and even

any social care services as well.

Under the plan, you have the extra investment opportunities and this is going to be directed at any priority areas that are in the UK. This includes extra social care, other out of hospital care centres and even primary care support as well. They are also going to offer mental health care for those who need it. In the longer term, they are going to do everything they can to try and develop a dedicated care tax, that could be based on NI contributions. This would help to bring together spending on services and it would also help them to have a shared budget as well.

The end goal would be to bring the NHS and the social care system into one service, pooling the entire budget together in every area to give everyone a better chance at accessing the care they need, as opposed to it being offered to the areas which are not deprived. They also aim to do everything they can to improve the services that are being given out as well as offering better care to those who are in crisis or even those who attend the emergency room. The goal is to cut down on waiting times, both in the community and over the phone, and this would surely help those who have nursing jobs to get the additional support they need.
