If you are part of a nurse agency or if you are seeking work through a nursing recruitment agency then you may have seen that people are now rallying to try and collect donations for Ukraine. It would seem that this topic is a bit closer to home for carers and those who work in care jobs. That being said, it would seem that nursing students are rallying to do their bit as well. Students are trying to come together to try and make sure that they raise as much as possible to try and help support people during the horrific invasion that is happening right now.
Sophie Millard is an adult student at the Colchester campus and she has launched her own appeal. She has asked people for any donations that they can spare to try and aid those who need it the most. She has said that everyone who has the ability to help, should try and do so. She has said that she wants to give a bit of hope to those who might have been impacted by the hostilities and that as a student nurse, she feels for those who are trying to do their bit for the greater good. She herself is a mother and she said that she is sick of seeing the devastation that is happening, particularly amongst children. She has said that she wants to give them a bit of hope and that she wants to try and do her bit through donations and support. Her son has helped her in deciding what she should buy to donate to children and also help her in her quest to offer support to those who truly need it. Her work is admirable to say the least and it is going to make a difference.
