The RCN has teamed up with Health Education England to try and create a sexual health education direction. The resource is going to include firms and even case studies too. They have all been developed to try and give staff members the support that they need, and they are also trying to avoid taking on too many nurses at the same time. RCN professionals in the public health industry have now asked the government to try and invest in more local authorities. They are also going to try and budget for the sake of the patients too, but any of their investments have yet to materialise. A lot of people feel as though they need to try and step into the void and that they also need to provide more resources to help with some of the more practical steps involved. This will help them to move forward and it will also help to attract way more nurses into this very rewarding job.
There are a lot of different pressures on services right now and a lot of them are facing huge budget cuts. This is leaving a lot of people and even nurses feeling very unsupported. Complex and fragmentated contracts have made things much more difficult in the ever-developing workplace. A lot of experienced and even inexperienced nursing professionals are now retiring and as it stands, there are not enough nurses to take their place. This is shocking to say the least and more needs to be done to make sure that this does not happen again.
