GPs in Derbyshire have won a dispute against the NHS. This could have huge ramifications for practices that are all up and down the country. The Littlewick Medical Centre won over £27,000 from the NHS and this is because they refused to give them the reimbursement payment they needed to cover their children’s vaccinations. The NHS chose to withhold the payment because they believe that the practice submitted their claims on the manual NHS system as opposed to the new online system. Those who work in doctor jobs will know what a disaster this can be.

When you look at the Family Health Services Appeals Unit, which is the primary care section of the NHS Litigation Authority, you will find that they have ruled in favour of the practice. They have also stated that the communication system that has changed over the years is just not efficient.

The NHS have paid the money that was owned and Dr. Gail Walton, who is a senior partner over at Littlewick has stated that this is a very significant movement for all of those who live in Derbyshire. Childhood immunisations are incredibly important and the fact that they are going to carry on doing this for as long as they can. They can however, only do this if they get the right funding but it does look like they came out on top here. Of course, there is no telling whether or not other practices will go on to follow in their footsteps and make claims themselves or not, but only time will tell. By the looks of things, everything looks to be going very well but there is no telling whether this will be the case or not until the NHS deal with more cases like this.

The majority of patients who attend urgent care have been rating their local services as being good or even outstanding. This is even after the system pressures that doctors are constantly facing. The report looked into walk in urgent centres and the results were outstanding to say the least. The CQC have come out to say that this high level of positive ratings are really shocking because a lot of doctors are under pressure to try and meet a ton of goals while also satisfying the needs of their patients. The report says that they do not take into account the finances of the providers and that there is a growing risk when you look at this area. The problem is that the value of the contracts do not reflect the true and actual cost of delivering them. It has also been added that recruitment is often difficult and this is especially the case when you look at how unsociable the hours are and even the rate of pay as well. On top of this, the urgent care sector is especially intense.

The best thing about this report is that despite the challenges, the ratings have shown that they can be very consistent and that the performances across all of the sectors have been very, very high. Professor Steve Field is the chief inspector of the CQC and he believes that the whole thing is very well researched. Those who work in GP jobs will understand more than anyone how important it is to provide a high-quality level of care as well as making sure that everyone is getting a qualified doctor who knows what they are doing. With the NHS being strained however, this is harder now than ever before.

A senior nurse in England has stated that she is going to step down from her role in the future and she has also unveiled a number of ambitions that she has. She wants to make some changes to the community’s leadership structure and this is going to mean huge things for the industry. Those who work in nursing jobs or even as a nursing agency will know how bad this could get as she is retiring after more than 6 years in the role. She has also worked in the NHS for well over 40 years as well. She has stated that it has been both an honour and a privilege to work with so many people and no date has been set for her departure yet. The NHS England spokeswoman has confirmed that it is likely that she is going to depart within the next year and she is probably going to stay in the role for at least 6 months.

Professor Cummings has stated that during this time, she is going to work to combine all of the nursing roles that are across England and that she is still trying to improve the NHS as much as she can. She has done her part to try and recommend to the NHS England board that the CNO should be the executive nurse for both as it helps to move towards the idea of having a greater alignment.

She also said in a statement that she would play a very large role in the supporting of the alignment of the two nursing teams. The CNO has two deputies at the moment and these are placed across two different national bodies. Dr Ruth May is both the executive nurse and the CNO and she has stated that she is going to do everything she can to help out during this time as well.

RCM have showcased a huge variety of roles to midwives in an attempt to try and boost their potential. Midwives in Scotland are hoping to spread a message that midwives do more than just help women give birth. The Royal College of Midwives in Scotland are going to publish a booklet and this will explain that midwives work in a huge range of environments and this includes hospitals, the home and even the community as well. They also have a very important role when it comes to supporting public health and even equality as well. Those who work in nursing jobs or even in a nursing agency will understand this more than anyone. They have stated that a midwife’s work includes so much more than what you would think and it is designed to get policy makers to try and think about what services they are offering. Case studies are being used across a number of roles and this includes home birth, vulnerable women and even mental health as well.

They also help those who have been subjected to female genital mutilation as well, and their work often goes unnoticed. The publication also outlines a number of challenges in Scotland and this includes the need for more midwife staffing vacancies, an aging workforce and even the lack of choice for women when it comes to where they actually want to give birth. Midwives are able to make a huge contribution to the sector as it currently stands and the fact that nobody is really able to notice this or give people the support that they need is not acceptable at all. Only time will tell if anything is going to change.

A bill has been released and it is designed to try and protect those who work in the NHS. It has been published in Scotland and this is especially the case for those who work in nursing jobs or even those who work as a nursing agency. The staffing in Scotland bill will essentially make sure that those who work in Scotland are safe and it will also place a legal requirement on the NHS boards. This will make sure that the right number of staff are in place and that they are all properly trained as well. At the end of the day, it is a known fact that there is a clear link between sustainable staffing levels and high-quality care in general. Of course, it will require that the Scottish health boards and even the care providers have plenty of suitable staff in place and this will also mean that patients get a higher level of care as well.

If this legislation is to pass then it would also mean that Scotland would have to use the workload to try and plan out exactly what the staff are doing and what their current levels are. The bill, which was unveiled on Thursday has made a good promise to those who work in the industry and it follows a very similar move to what was made in Wales.

At the end of the day, they know that there is a correlation between high quality care and the right training and Shona Robison has come out to say this. The legislation will work in a high level of practice and it will also mean that the decisions that the staff make always take into account the needs of the service and even evidence as well. She has also stated that it will help to try and promote openness and transparency as well, so this is something that certainly needs to be taken into consideration.

A recent trawl through all of the photo archives really have brought out some long lost stories. One of them is about a nurse and the link that she has to a Dutch King. Another link included one to an African sprinting champion. The London North West University NHS trust has been looking at old stories and even images as well from the past. This is ahead of the NHS 70th anniversary.

Among all of those was a story that dated all the way back to 1998. One of the intensive care workers, Julie Nassau got a very nice surprise when a TV crew who were trying to research the Dutch Royal Family found out that she was a decedent of William of Orange. This is the original founder of the country. Those who work in nursing jobs or even in a nursing agency may find this especially interesting.

Archives show that Julie was told about him and it was William of Orange who chose to lead the Dutch revolt against the rulers of Spain back in the 16th Century. This lead to 80 years of war and then he was assassinated in 1584.

One of his descendants had the name that would eventually lead on to the King of England, otherwise known as William III. Ms Nassau no longer works at the trust but she was asked if she was interested in reclaiming her title. She replied stating that she would rather have the job that she has now rather than the job of a royal, and she also went on to say that she doesn’t even know how to ride a bike either.

The trust has a very strong connection with that of the Royal Family and this dates back to 1970 when the Queen decided to open up the Northwick Park Hospital.

Over a quarter of the nurses who work in the community sector are still using paper-based systems. Workforce planning is being carried out manually in most cases and this isn’t efficient at all. A survey showed that over 85% of community nurses believe that technology can help them but the findings showed that most nurses are struggling to fully utilise it. This is because they have a poor level of internet connectivity in their home and they also have a lack of suitable devices as well. This includes laptops and even tablets. The main problem that people have is that they have services on their devices that are not compatible with one another.

The survey also showed that there is a continuing reliance on paper record keeping. This is very time intensive and it also opens up the chance of information being entered incorrectly. A lot of respondents have reported that social media also hindered the organisation and themselves.

95% of UK residents own a mobile phone and this gives nurses the chance to engage with their patients in a cost-efficient and time-efficient manner. The problem there is that only 28% of nurses use text messaging to communicate with their patients. 63% of adults state that social media is a strong part of their lives but most nurses do not use social media in a professional way. If you work in nursing jobs, in a nursing agency or even as a nursing recruitment agency member then you will understand this struggle and it just goes to show that more needs to be done in order to give people the support that they need on a day to day basis. If social media could be used more efficiently, it would benefit everyone involved.

More than half of the nurses who have been referred to the NMC may have gone on to experience suicidal thoughts. This has been brought to light by a snapshot survey by a group who are continually campaigning for improved support. This is especially the case for those who are going through an FTP procedure in the past. If you work in nursing jobs or even as a nursing agency employee then you will know how much stress this can put on you as a professional and you will also know how difficult it can be to maintain a high level of performance with this kind of constant worry. Even those who work in a nursing recruitment agency can understand this, and it’s devastating to see this kind of result.

Comments have been made by nurses who have taken part in the survey and they have stated that the whole thing is lifechanging for them. They also believe that they were referred for issues that would be considered as being minor. On top of this, they feel as though the whole thing is very isolating and at times they feel ashamed. They have stated that they feel as though they are being treated as being guilty from the start and the impact it
has on them is unbearable.
Nurses have left their job in the past because they believe that the risk that comes with it is too high and that nobody deserves to go through this at all.

Another person wrote that they would never be the same nurse again and that they contemplated suicide after hearing that they had to go through with it. It’s awful to see that nurses are being subjected to this kind of treatment and the impact that it has on their lives cannot be compared to anything else.

If you work in the industry of nursing jobs, a nursing agency or even in a nursing recruitment agency, you’ll understand how important it is to gain new training and experience. This new partnership between the US and the Caribbean will see nurses work in the NHS for a total of three years so they can take their training back with them. This is really going to benefit the Jamaican health system. The new partnership is going to be a huge extension on the earn, learn and return system that is in place. The people who are behind this have hopes that 5,500 international nurses would then be recruited from the Philippines and India.

The department said that the nurses who come from Jamaica will undertake a placement in the UK and that this would be facilitated by the Health Education England group. They would then work in the intensive care sector or in emergency medicine.

They would go back to their home country to share their experience, knowledge and training with their own healthcare and this would benefit everyone.

NHS staff would be given the chance to travel and share their expertise and the aim of the scheme is to try and support the Jamaican government. Not only will this increase their workforce, but it will also give help to them and the people who need nursing care.

The UK has been hit by a huge nursing crisis and there are just not enough staff to be filling the required posts. People are delighted at this decision and they are also very happy to be seeing more and more people entering the industry. This should help out everyone who is involved and it will certainly go a long way when it comes to getting people the training they need.

If you have a job in a nursing recruitment agency, a nursing agency or even if you work in nursing jobs then you will understand how serious heart disease can be. There has been a new study done and it shows that those who have heart disease are admitted to hospital way less when compared to those who walk slow. Italian researchers found that those who had a faster walking speed had a much lower risk of hospitalisation.

In the study, patients were asked to walk 1km in total on a treadmill. They were asked to do so at what they thought was a moderate intensity. Others were asked to walk slow, and then finally, the last group were asked to walk fast. 51% of the slow walkers had been to hospital, compared to 31% of the walkers who went fast. 44% of the intermediate walkers were hospitalised as well, and this just goes to show that the faster you walk, the less likely you are to be admitted to hospital for any reason at all. Of course, walking is the most popular form of exercise for adults and it does not require any training at all. The study lasted for three years and the studies’ findings are certainly making waves in the healthcare industry.

It is certainly interesting to see how all of this is going to make a difference and it is also interesting to see if more and more people try and do a more intense form of exercise so that they can keep themselves healthy. Either way, only time will tell.

This study was done in a completely controlled environment and nobody can argue with the results. If you have a heart problem, walking fast can certainly help you to avoid further hospitalisation.
