A Troubled NHS Maternity Ward Has to Make Significant Improvements
Maternity care standards are now at a high. An NHS nurse agency hospital trust found themselves in the middle of an inquiry when they found out that a number of people had died under their care. For the Nottingham City Hospital, they have found that the design and the environment have failed to meet safety standards and that they need to do a lot of work to reach the staffing levels that would allow them to operate safely. Clinical Support Workers Are Going on Strike over Pay

Clinical support workers have demanded that they get backpay and they also believe that they are not being treated as fairly as they could be. This comes right after a revised offer from the trust was made. They received a one-off payment to the staff but the union happened to reject it. The main reason for this is because they felt as though it fell short of the demands for back pay.

They felt as though they were not getting the support that they needed, when they needed it. On top of this, they were not getting the back pay that they should have done when completing their duties. This is why so many people have demanded that they start getting fair pay and that they do not end up getting overlooked for the hard work that they are putting in. Only time will tell what the future holds for the strike and there is no guarantee that the money is even going to come through but at the end of the day, if action is not taken now then people are never going to be able to get the help they need when working so many extra hours.

Healthcare think tanks such as the Health Foundation have published an analysis that helps to highlight the scale of the challenge. They are also going to help NHS providers in their quest to try and highlight the scale of challenges.
Healthcare students in England are now doing everything they can to increase the numbers of workers and they are also looking into the nursing and midwifery intakes. It is said that this has to increase from 40,400 per year to a total of 72,400 within the same period. The government have pledged a lot of support and they have also focused on the expansion of education as well. It has been noted that now there are more teaching placements too. The Nightingale Fund was originally made to try and protect the pot of money which was first built up in the 1800s. They have established a lot of interest over the years, and they have also been seeking more donations as time has gone on. They are very confident that they have a strong reputation and that they also have strong experience in the area. At the end of last month, it looks like the fund has been donated to a new owner. The NF has been absorbed into a different charity and they have said that although they do face a lot of challenges, they are entirely confident that everything is going smoothly.
Greta Westwood who is the chief of the FNF has come out to say that it was a true honour for the organisation to be given the money. They have also said that a yearly lecture would be set up so that the history of the two charities can be honoured going forward. The NF happened to be established in the year 1859 but the fund stood at £45,000 at that point. Since then, a lot of work has been done to try and make sure that everything is running smoothly and that the charity is given every chance of success for the future.

He has come out to say that he wants to make organ donation way less scary for kids. He has said that it would be very difficult to explain to children about donating their organs, but he has written the book in a way that talks about recycling parts. He has been able to raise thousands to cover the cost of the book and this is great to say the least. Applications to Study Nursing in the UK Have Dropped by 16%
The amount of people who have applied for an undergraduate nursing course in the UK has since dropped by over 16%.
